RFQ Requirements
General Requirements
- It is the policy of EE Technologies to build all assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 level 2, unless otherwise requested by the customer. Cosmetic standards must be documented by the customer.
- All documents need a revision level to distinguish them as unique and link them to a specific assembly.

- EE Technologies uses a No Clean process as standard practice. Customers can request a Water Soluble process if preferred.
Document List (Click on headings to display detail.)
1.0 Bill of Material & AVL Information (Excel Format Preferred).
1.1 This document is best processed in electronic format; either ascii, or a variety of options as available from Microsoft products.
1.2 Minimum content to include assembly version, part number, reference designator, quantity required per assembly, description, and standard device package type.
1.3 It is recommended this document list all other applicable documents such as assembly drawing revision, schematic revision, test procedure revision, and fabrication drawing revision.
1.4 This is a list of customer part numbers, their approved OEM sources, and the OEM part numbers.
2.0 Assembly Drawing
2.1 This drawing contains specific details regarding the assembly such as component orientation and mechanical clearance requirements
2.2 The recommended format for this drawing is electronic (AutoCAD).
3.0 Gerber Data
3.1 This machine specific data, by default is electronic. It is a common output of CAD layout packages. This data is used to fabricate the laminate and in the case of surface mount assemblies, to fabricate stencils.
3.2 This data describes all the added features of the PCB such as conductor width, length, and location, silkscreen legend, solder mask, drill hole size and location.
3.3 This is used by EE Technologies to determine component centroids for machine programming and creation of assembly documentation.
4.0 CAD Data (Not Necessary for quoting only)
4.1 Either X,Y or Centroid Data.
5.0 PCB Fabrication Drawing
5.1 This document describes the other important details of the laminate such as overall thickness, individual layer thickness, solder mask type, conductor thickness, hole size, mechanical shape and dimensions, and datum from which the image will be referenced.
6.0 Electrical Test Procedures
6.1 Document which clearly defines electrical test procedures, equipment required, test criteria, and theory of operation.
